Popis: Providing intervention to sex offenders is complex and specialised. Those who sexually abuse children also pose additional challenges to clinicians. This chapter will provide an overview of the approaches and techniques that have been found to be effective in interventions for sex offenders who target child victims. Whilst most publications have focused on the treatment of sexual offenders from an academic stance, this chapter provides a ‘practitioner-oriented’ angle based on the clinical experiences of psychologists working with sex offenders in the Singapore Prison Service. This chapter aims to put together a range of interventions that have been used with sex offenders with child victims in a prison setting. This chapter would benefit existing or aspiring practitioners who are intending to or are already working with sex offenders and would like to be informed of the latest development in this field of work.
