Millimeter waves interference method for measuring critical temperature of cluster superconductors

Popis: It has been reported recently that the diamagnetic response has been found in amorphous carbon films doped with copper, what have shown the superconducting state to be present in the films with a certain amount of copper at temperatures about 77 K. In this work the method of direct measurement of the critical temperature (TC) has been proposed and the measurements have been carried out at microwave frequencies (37.9 GHz). The method is based on the observation of the interference of direct and reflected waves from the carbon sample. The TC and (Delta) TC of the samples were found to be 81.5 K and 1.5 K respectively.© (1994) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
