Popis:	This paper examines the Brazilian recognition of the Palestinian state, as one of the initiatives of the Lula government. It deals with the question of a Palestinian state within a clear border (1967 borders) and East Jerusalem within these borders. It concludes with recommendations for the Brazilian left and the Palestinian community in order not to undermine the status of the Palestinian cause in the Brazilian political arena.
