In modern power systems, everything has become advanced technologically. Many devices have been employed for sensing, measurement and the control of the power network. There is a two-way communication between supplier and the consumers. All these things have made the power grid network to be smarter. But at the same time, risk of cyber-attacks has increased a lot due to existing cyber-infrastructure and communication links. Different attacks have done by the attackers to get different purposes. A new defense topology is proposed to secure the smart grid against the cyber-attacks. The concept of dummy values is introduced in power network to detect the cyber-attacks particularly false data injection attack (Stealth attack). Dummy value is fixed for all the time. This method gives the best results to protect the power system from cyber-attacks. |
