Popis: | CTdBem is a hospital use protocol that enables multislice tomographs to be used to perform buccomaxillofacial images with reduced radiation dose. The objective of this study is to report to the dental surgeon which patients are in the hospital environment and are unfit for adequate imaging to receive the benefits of this tomography. This technique eliminates the need to move hospitalized patients to a specialized dental clinic, allowing the hospital itself to provide rapid and efficient care. The CTdBem protocol can be used in any hospital, the image quality is similar to that of a cone beam, and a precise treatment plan can be implemented by the clinical dentist before execution. With the benefit of volumetric evaluation, the radiation dose is similar to the panoramic one. Public hospital deployment will have a major social impact. |
