Experimental and Numerical Research on the Flowrate of Sawdust Discharging from an Aerated Conical Hopper

Popis: In the paper, aerated discharge of sawdust differing in particle size, aeration height, orifice diameter and the air flow rate is present. In the hopper discharge experiments the measurements of the discharge rate as a function of the key factors affecting the flowrate were investigated. In addition, numerical experiments were carried out using Eulerian-Eulerian approach based on granular kinetic theory. And close agreement between numerical predictions and experimental results was obtained.
