Popis: 1 H NMR spectra reveal the presence of 1:1 complexes of cobalt(II) and tpy (tpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine) in solution and a solid-state structural determination of Co(tpy)(OAc) 2 · 0.5H 2 O reveals the presence of hydrogen-bonded dinuclear units with both mono- and bidentate acetate ligands.
