| Popis: | We report on a case of sphenoideal meningioma with an occlusion of the peripheral branches of the right middle cerebral artery which did not produce neurological failures and which was found preoperatively through angiography. During the intraoperative blood stilling the branches of the anterior cerebral artery were occluded too, as could be shown in postoperative angiography. During the arterial phase both vessels and their branches are not opacified. Through the posterior cerebral artery, the posterior chorioideal artery and the anterior chorioideal artery (chorioideal anastomosis) the middle and the anterior branches were filled retrogradely. Within 3 weeks hemiplegia and facial palsy of the left side recovered, an arm palsy remained. |
