Kinetic study of the reaction of nitrate radicals with ethylperoxy radicals between 277 and 358 K

Popis: The rate constants of the reaction of nitrate and ethylperoxy radicals are measured using laser photolysis coupled with time resolved UV⿿vis spectrometry and laser diode spectroscopy over the temperature range 277⿿358 K, for pressures varying between 380 and 550 Torr. This work provides the first kinetic data for the reaction of NO 3 + C 2 H 5 O 2 as a function of temperature. The Arrhenius expression (in cm 3 molecule ⿿1 s ⿿1 ) is as follows: k 1 ( T ) = (8.70 ± 2.40) y 10 ⿿12 exp(⿿390 ± 85/ T ). At room temperature, the rate constant value obtained is in good agreement with the three values previously reported for the NO 3 + C 2 H 5 O 2 reaction.
