Popis: | Historical archaeologists like to apply their findings based on a combination of their excavation results and documentary research to reconstruct, at least in their mind’s eye, or preferably in the form of a drawing, structures that once existed. Although in some cases there are the financial resources available to reconstruct these buildings, it is rare that more than a very few can actually be brought back to life. Thanks to the wonders of digital imagery, it is now possible to formulate a whole landscape permitting a visitor to enter into this reimagined scene. This is best achieved by a close collaboration of historical archaeology and documentary research. |
