Adequate treatment of patients with cranio-maxillofacial trauma allows great functional and esthetic rehabilitation in most cases, while the possibility of complications is very low but still existing. This chapter deals with temporary or permanent complications such as trigeminal and facial nerve injuries, blindness, infection of the fracture site, hardware failure, screw loosening, ankylosis, and gunshot injury. Healing of the above-mentioned injuries also depends on the general health condition which is more important than age. |
