Magnetic Shielding Analysis of HTS Plates by Flux Flow Creep Model

Popis: The magnetic shielding performance of the high-Tc superconducting (HTS) plate has been investigated by use of the flux flow creep model. The damping coefficient and the shielding factor are calculated for a disk-shaped HTS plate. The results of computations show that the time dependence of the shielding factor becomes weak with an increasing frequency of the applied magnetic field. In addition, the damping coefficient takes a small value in the low-frequency range below 1Hz, whereas it decreases considerably in the frequency range above 1Hz. From these results, it turns out that the HTS plate has a shielding ability against high-frequency magnetic fields even if it remains in a mixed state.
