Popis: | Neonatal pulmonary arteriovenous malformations of clinical significance are rare. We present a neonate with persistent severe hypoxemia, found to have an isolated pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (AVM) on multidetector CT scan (MDCT). There were no features to suggest hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia. Imaging features on MDCT with volumetric reconstructions of the vessels and tracheobronchial airway is demonstrated. The role of MDCT in further management of the neonate is discussed; to our knowledge this has not been previously described in the published literature. |
