Uncertainty Aware Constrained Cost Minimization in a Solar Photo Voltaic System

Popis: Methods to ascertain successful and reliable operation of distribution system with high concentration of photovoltaic system have been developed over the years. In this paper, we have considered a distribution system with significant contribution of electricity generation through photovoltaic systems with uncertainty aware constrained cost minimization of solar photovoltaic system operation. We have focused on the feasibility of inverters providing ancillary services like curtailment of active power and compensation of reactive power. Major advantages include ability to overcome over voltages arising in the photovoltaic system. This paper introduces an algorithm to obtain minimum number of inverters which is sufficient to curtail requisite power considering uncertainty. The result is obtained for 12 bus distribution system.
