Geometrical design of LC-circuits as a part of inductive power supply systems for implantable medical devices

Popis: The transmission of energy through inductive coupling is one of the main methods of energy supply of implantable medical devices. The relationship between coil geometry and circuit parameters in an inductive power supply unit is complex and can be evaluated in several ways. In this paper was studied a pair of LC-circuits with SS- compensation. Flat circular coils are optimized to provide self-inductance for a resonance of a pair of LC-circuits. The capacity of the receiving and transmitting circuit varied from 1 to 10 nF. The influence of the capacity on the geometrical parameters of the coils (outer and inner radii, number of turns) is estimated.
