Nanophosphor of TAG (Tb3 Al5O12) doped with 0.5mol% Eu was synthesized by the sintering (at 1100°C) of the sol-gel synthesized precursor. This nanophosphor was characterized by XRD, photoluminescence (PL) and chromaticity color space analysis. XRD analysis showed no change in the basic structure of TAG on doping while broad emission in 400-700nm region was observed when excited with 280nm radiation. Potential of this material in photonic devices was clear from the color space analysis. |
