In this chapter Hardy and Sumner continue the historical journey of Patient Voices, summarising the progress of the Programme from 2011 to 2017. They highlight key events and workshops, identify and develop emergent themes and point to the application of Patient Voices reflective digital storytelling in cultivating compassion and driving quality improvement in health and social care. Recurrent themes are organisation and staff development through sharing reflective stories, dementia, mental health and reflective practice by staff in post and still in education. Developing themes include the use of digital storytelling in aspects of research and research dissemination, facilitating the voices of people with learning disabilities and the reflective digital storytelling process to underpin the development of interprofessional education programmes in health and social care. |
