In this chapter, the authors discuss how to prepare an organization for the implementation and alignment of the PSM across the organization. The authors address the importance of understanding how to transition PSM from immature to sustainable states within the company’s operating systems and processes. The authors also address the organizational change management requirements necessary for stakeholder alignment, buy-in, and commitment necessary for implementing PSM across the organization. The authors highlight the importance of a stakeholder impact assessment and the need for adoption of appropriate strategies necessary for effective communication and adoption of PSM across the business. The goal of the authors is to ensure that leaders are adequately prepared for the hard work which is referred to as the “heavy lift” associated with effective alignment and communication required for the successful implementation of PSM across the organization. |
