Popis:	The organism that causes yeast-spot disease, was isolated from within the body of Acrosternum hilare (Say). The plant pathogen was found throughout the salivary system (stylets, salivary pump, and receptacles) and alimentary canal; it was more frequent in the stylets and salivary receptacles. The discovery of the organism within the salivary system of A. hilare indicated a far more intimate association between the insect and the disease organism than the incidental relationship that was presumed previously.
