Popis:	1. A study was made of the rate of reaction of some O-ethyl-O-(π-alkylmercaptoethyl)phenylphos-phonates and O-alkyl-O-(π-methylmercaptoethyl)phenylphosphonates with acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase. 2. The studied compounds are reversible inhibitors of cholinesterase of the competing type of action; their inhibiting activity is substantially dependent on the length of the alkyl radical, attached to the sulfur atom, as well as to the oxygen atom.
