Popis:	The general objective of the research that has led to the results presented here was to analyze problem solving strategies of experts and novices in the field of hydrodynamics1. In this paper, psychological data about the progress made by novices thanks to a learning stage are presented and analyzed: some of the subjects display correct reasoning, but not under all circumstances; defects in seemingly elementary strategies (information taking) are also put into evidence.
