Popis: Radiotherapy is an important component of local treatment in curative or palliative setting for abdominal malignancies. Due to surrounding normal tissues that are highly radiosensitive in the upper abdomen, the radiation-induced acute or late toxicities are very important after radiotherapy. Radiation-induced toxicities may negatively affect the quality of life and even survival of patients. Therefore, toxicities and related factors should be taken care during the planning section of radiotherapy. In this chapter, organs-at-risk delineations and relationships between dose–volume parameters and radiation-induced toxicities of upper abdominal organs with their managements will be discussed.
