Popis: | Recently, Chen et al. [Expert Systems with Applications 39, (2012), 2232-2235] present an alternative approach for solving replenishment lot size problem with discontinuous issuing policy and rework. They consider the number of shipments as a fixed and given value. Then, Cardenas-Barron et al. [Expert Systems with Applications 39, (2012), 13540- 13546] treat the long-run average costs per unit time for Chen et al (2012)'s inventory model as a function of the replenishment lot size Q and number of shipments n. Cardenas-Barron et al. (2012) present a solution procedure to obtain the optimal replenishment lot size and the optimal number of shipments jointly for the inventory models of Chen et al. (2012). This paper follows Cardenas-Barron et al. (2012)'s viewpoint to adopt the calculus approach to get the optimal solution of Q and n jointly. The solution procedures to get the optimal solution obtained by our approach can simplify those of Cardenas-Barron et al. (2012). |
