The mechanism of structural reaarangements in PP during its deformation in liquid media has been investigated as a function of the perfection of the polymer's initial crystalline structure, which was regulated by annealing. The existence of two types of crazing, namely, classical and delocalized, has been confirmed. Annealing leads to a transition from classical crazing to delocalized crazing during the deformation of PP in absorption-active liquid media and to the intensification of delocalized crazing which occurs during the extension of the polymer in plasticizing liquid. The porosity parameters of the structures obtained by drawing the material may be regulated smoothly and over a wide range by changing the annealing temperature and the nature of the medium. |
