Popis:	Omnidirectional antennas are widely used for different Ultra-Wideband (UWB) applications like channel sounding or Impulse Radio (IR) Communication [1], [2]. A good choice for such applications are 3 dimensional biconical antennas as they exhibit a perfect omnidirectional pattern in the H-plane [3], [4] and a symmetric radiation characteristic in the E-plane if identical cones are used [3].
