Pursuant to the Energy Law of the Republic of Serbia the Joint Stock Company “Elektromreza Srbije” (EMS) as the operator of the transmission system, has the obligation to procure energy for covering transmission system losses. In order to achieve that the volume of energy is close to accounted values it is necessary to have the closest possible approximation of the forecast electricity volumes with the accounted values. Subject of this paper is an explanation of the methodology which is used by EMS to forecast transmission system losses. |
