Popis:	Methods are described for initiating and maintaining tissue cultures of cotton. The best growth of cotton callus occurred on Murashige and Skoog's medium supplemented with 1 mg/l naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), 1 mg/l kinetic, and 40 mg/l adenine. Morphactin at low concentrations promoted callus growth and enhanced the chlorophyll content of the tissue. So far attempts to induce organogenesis have proved relatively unsuccessful.
