Popis: A number of large biomolecules with flexible and polar regions undergo significant conformational changes induced by heterogeneous surrounding environment, and their ground-state geometries are often markedly different from ones in homogeneous solutions or in a crystal due to imposed external non-specific effects (electrostatic, steric) and specific ones. As far as the biological activity is closely related to the in vivo conformational state of the molecule, there is general interest in searching the appropriate heterogeneous media mimicking the biological milieu effects.
