Popis:	This paper reviews recent work carried out under the Memorandum of Intent, signed by Canada and the United States in August 1980. Emphasis to date has been placed on the phenomenon of acid deposition and, in particular, on the role of sulfur oxides. Results of monitoring and preliminary modelling work for oxides of nitrogen are summarized, and the status of NO X in the long-range transport/transboundary pollution/acid rain issue is assessed.
