Popis: 1. Sheets of 1Kh21N5T steel containing 0.25–0.55% Ti tested as received (quenched from 1050–1100°C, soaked 1 min per mm of thickness) were not susceptible to intercrystalline corrosion in tests by the AM GOST 6032-58 method with boiling for 15 h. 2. The presence of 10% or more austenite increases the resistance to intercrystalline corrosion after high-temperature quenching. 3. Subsequent tempering at 600–700°C for 10–60 min can induce susceptibility to intercrystalline corrosion. An increase of the titanium content permits raising the quenching temperature from 1200 to 1250°C.
