Popis:	The XSPECT/SODART X-ray telescopes and their associated focal plane instrumentation will be launched on board the Russian X-ray mission SPECTRUM ROENTGEN-GAMMA in December 1995. Technical details of the mission and of the telescopes have been discussed elsewhere. This presentation will, therefore, concentrate on the scientific questions which can be addressed by the observing program.
