Popis: The reaction of arsenic pentafluoride with the cyanogen halides XCN (X  F, Cl, Br, I) gives the 1 : 1 adducts XCN · AsF 5 (X  Cl, 1 ; Br, 2 ; I, 3 ; F, 4 ). Compounds 1–3 have been fully characterized and species 4 was identified by means of low-temperature Raman spectroscopy.
