Popis: | An intensive behavior management plan that employs the use of picture discrimination boards, adaptive sexual equipment, and sexual education/sexual function training for the resident and staff is described. The purpose is to aid a 74-year-old male with severe to moderate mental retardation, living in a residential facility to masturbate safely and appropriately. Baseline data was collected to determine the frequency of the potentially self-injurious behavior, which was the insertion of various objects into his rectum. Results indicated a significant reduction in potentially injurious masturbation. |
