Popis:	The Energy Charter Treaty has significant consequences in Australia. The treatment standards, expropriation and dispute settlement provisions all require a level of treatment of foreign investors well above that to which domestic investors are entitled. These matters constitute a significant divestment of rights of sovereignty by the Australian Government.
