Popis: | Evidence is presented that the reduced pteridine in cold-shocked Anacystis nidulans is 5,6,7,8-tetrahydrobiopterin glucoside. This does not appear to be the same as the reduced pteridine in the cell. It is suggested that the former compound is obtained from the latter by addition of the elements of water to a double bond in the side chain of the “cell pteridine.” |
