Fungi are important resources for the discovery of bioactive natural products or leading compounds. In our continuous searching for bioactive metabolites from fungi, three previously undescribed cytochalasans, perennisubacins A–C (1‒3), together with three known analogues 4‒6, were isolated from the fungus Perenniporia subacida. Their structures were established by means of spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 showed cytotoxicity against SMMC-7721 with an IC50 value of 23.3 μM, while compound 3 showed cytotoxicity against A-549 with an IC50 value of 37.6 μM. In addition, compound 3 inhibited nitric oxide (NO) production with an IC50 value of 18.4 μM. This is the first report of cytochalasins from the fungus P. subacida and their bioactivities. |
