Popis: | Androgenic activity with respect to the phallus and preputial glands was exhibited by 6-methyl-DHA, but this was significantly less than the androgenic activity of DHA. No effect of 6-methyl-DHA on the rate of epiphyseal fusion was detected under conditions in which DHA was active. The methyl group at C-6 was found to completely block the estrogenic action that the parent compound exhibits in immature mice in the presence of the ovary. |
