Gate-Diffusion Input based Linear Feedback Shift Register : A Review

Popis: GDI technique reduces the power intake, delay and digital circuit area and also maintains a less complex logic design. The CMOS technology, commonly used for implementing the Null-Conventional logic circuits. CMOS has major disadvantages in the field of area consumption and power dissipation being large. A low power design technique GDI can overcome these restrictions. But the circuit suffers from a notable voltage drop, thus Modified-GDI (m-GDI)was introduced. But GDI and m-GDI had threshold loss, to overcome this loss, FullSwing-GDI(FS-GDI) was introduced, which is considered to be more effective for low power digital design which supports smaller area consumption in contrast to CMOS technique. This paper highlights the implementation of Linear feedback shift register (LFSR) using FS-GDI resulting in area and power efficient design.
