Popis: The analysis of the physical phenomena in the course of a TWT's self-excitation is carried out. Self-excitation elimination is more often reduced to transfer of the device from a selfexcitation mode into a mode of regenerative gain. Influence on TWT's self-excitation of various factors is described in details: changes of drift tubes optimum length, an electron beam current, accelerating voltages, radius of a drift tube and a beam, phases coefficients of equivalent quadripoles or lengths of bent waveguide pieces, dielectric filling of a waveguide, the sizes of a waveguide, conductivity of a waveguide walls, irregularity of phases coefficients and length of drift tubes, use of multisection devices.
