Popis: | Isothermal high temperature tests have been performed on two B2 iron aluminides (a binary alloy and an ODS FeAl) in the temperature range between 750 and 1000 °C. The ODS alloy is elaborated by mechanical alloying with an Y 2 O 3 dispersion to improve mechanical properties. Thermogravimetric measurements are carried out in high purity synthetic air, and the oxide film is studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results are compared with a recent analysis on similar binary and ODS FeAl alloys. |
