Popis:	N-methyl, N-ethyl, N-allyl and N-benzyl laurolactams were prepared and their carbon-13 NMR indicated the presence of their amide groups in both the anti and syn conformations. The magnetic non-equivalence of carbon nuclei other than those directly bonded to the amide group as a result of the conformation isomerism was also demonstrated.
