Popis: The paper reviews the advantages and disadvantages of sphygmographic arterial blood pulsations recording method. The necessity of increasing the hemodynamic parameters measurement accuracy in the diagnosis and control of cardiovascular diseases is substantiated. The pressure transfer mechanism from the artery to the cuff is given. The scheme explaining the stages of forming compression waveform is presented. The modeling of pulsations formation processes in a hydrocuff is reasoned. The modeling has been performed in the Simulink package of MATLAB application. The developed model approbation is proposed to be performed using an electronic tonometer prototype. The oscillations modeling results for hydrocuff are presented. The developed model application for the analysis of pressure pulsations interaction process in the artery which is under a cuff, with pressure change in a hydrocuff is proved. The proposed model adequacy of the oscillation formation process in the hydrocuff is proved.
