In the past fifty years there have been significant advances in the science and technology of male reproductive medicine and surgery. These advances, coupled with the rapidly expanding development of advanced reproductive technologies, and changes in societal attitudes toward same sex relationships and issues of gender identification, have created legal and ethical challenges for those who wish to parent children. This chapter explores these topics and attempts to educate the reader on the present status of these problems with emphasis on the male. |
