Comparative Analysis of Forms of Lateral Baffles for Road Tanks

Popis: The purpose of the investigation is to analyze the influence of the configuration of lateral baffle installed in the reservoir of road tank on the characteristics of liquid cargo sloshing in the tank at its emergency braking. There were performed computations for the analysis of the hydrodynamic pressures and liquid energy dissipation for different kinds of liquid cargo transported in the road tanks with perforated and solid baffles. Also different filling levels of the reservoir were considered. The configuration of the internal lateral baffle providing maximal efficiency of liquid oscillations damping and minimal loading of the road tank shell was suggested.
