The demographic, vitality and spatial structure of the coenopopulations of Quercus robur L. (Fagaceae) in Southern Moscow region has been investigated. The research has been conducted in broadleaved forests, pine and birch stands and on the overgrowing meadow. The representative communities have differences in their vertical and horizontal structure and history. All investigated coenopopulations are not ontogenetically complete. The coenopopulations in the broadleaved stands aren’t able to establish the generation flow even if elements of the gap mosaic are presented. Sustainable coenopopulations of Q. robur are shown to be situated in the pine stands with sparse broadleaved individuals, disperse canopy and gap sites; in the motley grass birch stands and on the overgrowing meadow.
