A new method was developed for the synthesis of polybenzoxazoles, which is based on the interaction of dicarboxylic acid dichlorides with bis-[(o-nitro)phenols], the reduction of o-nitrosubstituents of poly[(o-nitro)esters] obtained and the simultaneous ring formation of poly-[(o-amino)esters] to form polybenzoxazoles. The method developed enables high molecular weight film forming polymers to be obtained under homogeneous conditions. |
