Popis:	3-amino-1-adamantanemethanol was synthesized from adamantane carboxylic acid following the procedures of Ritter reaction, hydrolysis, neutralization and reduced reaction without the participation of bromine. The total yield of 3-amino-1-adamantanemethanol was 43%. The structure of the target compound was characterized by elemental analysis, IR, MS, 1HNMR,etc. In addition, the possible reaction mechanisms was proposed.
