Popis: We present a refined quasianalytical approach that provides a complete description of the modal characteristics of the spoof plasmon modes sustained by a periodic array of slanted grooves. Specifically, our method yields deep physical insight into the effect that the orientation of the supporting structure has on the dispersion properties and field confinement capabilities of these geometrically induced surface electromagnetic waves.
