Influence of salt and biopolymers on dielectric and AC conductivity of PVA

Popis: In the present study we have investigated the effect of salt (LiClO4) and CMC and NaAlg biopolymer addition on dielectric and AC conductivity properties PVA film. The 45:45 wt% (PVA/CMC) and (PVA/NaAlg) blends and doped with 10 wt% concentrations of LiClO4 composite films were prepared separately by solution casting and then they were subjected to various characterizations such as XRD, FTIR and SEM. The dielectric and AC conductivity properties of the prepared films have been examined and it was found that all the films exhibits high value dielectric constants in the low frequency region. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss of all PVA based composites found to be decreases with increase of frequency where as the AC conductivity of the composites found to be increases with increase of frequency.
