Popis: The paper analyses the mechanics of forming highly viscous fibre-reinforced composites into moulds by point-force and distributed pressure moulding. The material is modelled as an ideal, fibre-reinforced viscous fluid. The equations which describe plane deformations of such materials are formulated and used to develop some analytical and numerical solutions for both the admissible final shapes of the formed parts and for the intermediate deformations in cases of simple mould geometries.
